I am going to be doing L.I.I.A.R analysis on my college magazine cover that I will be producing.
I want the masthead of the magazine to be short and snappy, this will then enable for the audience to read and remember the title of the magazine easily.
The main image that I am going to include on the front cover will be a medium close up (head to the shoulders) of a model this will not be animated. They will also be having eye contact with the person viewing and will be smiling so then it will give a positive vibe of how college. This will then draw the person to take a sneak peek inside the magazine.
There will be a consistent house-style of three colours this will make it easy for the people to understand text on pages if the same colours are used. I will be using bright colours so then it will represent the target audience that I want to get the attention of.
The magazine will be aimed to different groups such as groups who are inner and outer directed (integrated) and outer- directed groups (belongers, emulators and achievers).
There will also be smaller images representing some of the other articles that will be included with captions. This will then give the audience a sneak peek at what is also to be included in that issue. There will be an image of a competition prize and a small caption at the bottom of it the font will stick throughout with a constant house-style. Along with the competition there will be a free gift issued with every edition that comes out. This will therefore attract a larger audience and more people will buy the magazine.
The magazine will be placed with the lifestyle part of the shop because it is to do with student life. The main lifestyle being college and finances there will also be information about courses. It would be irrelevant if we saw this magazine with the names of Heat and Closer because they are selling news on gossip and fashion on celebrities but we are just selling things about college life.
The contents page will be continuing the consistent house-style. There will be a mastheading of the title content at the top centre in bold so then it will stand out. There will thumbnail size images to the right with issues included alongside this there will be a caption along the side of the image. On the left there will be subheading of other issues with the page number so then the audience know which page to go to when they have decided which ones to read. Underneath the subheading will be a little sneak peek disruption of what it is about in case they do not know from the subheading itself.
